Hello there! You're obviously here for a reason. What do you need to know about me? Well, let's see. My name is Ari (short for Ariela). I'm 22, and a recent college guaduate from Brooklyn, New York. I was born in Brooklyn, raised in Brooklyn, live in Brooklyn, and I'll probably die in Brooklyn. I'm so firmly rooted in Brooklyn that my feet have sent tendrils into the ground and are sustaining a colony of a new Brooklyn-based strain of mushrooms.

What am I? I'm a freelance artist. I draw, I paint (oils, acrylics, and watercolor), I sketch. Adobe Photoshop is my friend. I've been dabbling in art my whole life for the most part, but only started taking drawing seriously in 1999 or so. From there I dipped into as many mediums as I could, and now my portfolio is awash in oils, watercolors, pencils, pastels, Adobe (Photoshop, ImageReady, Illustrator, InDesign) and Macromedia (Dreamweaver & Freehand), HTML, sewn garments and bags, clay, collages...the list goes on. And I'm loving every minute of it.

As far as computers go, I'm a total geek. Hardware, software, web and graphic design - it's all good. I built my own system (and several others) from scratch, and I'm the resident techie among my friends. I'm also an avid freelance web designer and graphics artist. Some of my web and graphic design clients include Life Coach At Your Side and Dr. Jud Newborn, among others. Yes, I take commissions.

My plans for 2007 are to land an awesome job as a graphic designer in a great company, and get certification as an Adobe professional (A.C.E.). I love computers (I build, maintain, fix, and tinker with both hardware and software), so it's a perfect way to make money at something I love and still get to do my art on the side.
